Context
The Challenge
Managing medicine schedules and tracking stock for multiple family members is error-prone. Standard apps often double-count doses if you miss a day and log it later, or require manual stock adjustments. The challenge was to build an intelligent, calendar-based engine that automatically reconciles missed doses upon app launch, combined with secure cloud sync, vital tracking, and easily shareable medical reports for doctors.
Process
CarePilot's engineering centered on building an intelligent, offline-capable dose engine that eliminated the common synchronization errors found in traditional tracking apps. The development prioritized mathematical accuracy in dose decrementing alongside seamless, secure cloud syncing across multiple devices via Supabase. Beyond basic scheduling, the architecture was expanded to support robust health profiles, vital tracking with trend analysis, and the automated generation of doctor-ready PDF reports. By enforcing Row Level Security and biometric app locking, the platform guarantees that sensitive family medical data remains strictly confidential while being instantly accessible during emergencies.
Dose engine architecture
Developed a calendar-based decrement engine where explicit dose logs are the single source of truth, eliminating double-counting issues across manual and automated logging.
Health profiles & vitals
Implemented per-member tracking for vitals (BP, sugar, heart rate) with trend sparklines and emergency medical cards.
Cloud sync & security
Integrated Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) to keep data synchronized and private, reinforced by local biometric app locking.
